Job summary

DigiKey Electronics in the United States is seeking an Inventory Optimization Associate responsible for optimizing and managing space for current inventory, including buildings, trays, shelves, and reserve utilization. This is an essential onsite role with regular attendance.

You will work Monday–Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., performing space configurations, rehomes, and process testing to improve warehouse efficiency and TE utilization.

Responsibilities

• Optimize gray shelf, case shelf, reserve, and large/oversize pallet location utilization.
• Reconfigure gray shelf and case shelf realignment as part of executed projects.
• Put away product as needed for new projects.
• Re‑home products based on the best utilization of space.
• Recognize and recommend new space configurations.
• Test new process flows for new warehouse locations.
• Manage TE utilization.
• Identify and qualify TE products as needed.
• Identify and change active maximum levels for items with excessive stock.
• Remove iLPNs from the OSR that contain excess stock.
• Re‑home iLPNs to other areas for better space utilization.
• Fix iLPN issues when removing or re‑homing.

Physical Requirements

Required to twist, bend, and occasionally climb stairs. Capable of reaching above shoulder level. The workday involves sitting at a workstation and operating computers, performing repetitive motions with hands, head, and other body parts, standing on concrete, and lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height.

Compensation

The starting base pay rate is $20.00. The position may also be eligible for shift, skill, and/or team lead pay differentials in addition to the starting rate.
