Job summary

DigiKey Electronics is seeking an Inventory Optimization Associate to manage space for inventory, including buildings, trays, shelves and reserve utilizations. This onsite role requires regular onsite attendance and supports a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will optimize shelf and reserve locations, re-house items to maximize space, and participate in new process tests for WM locations; typical schedule is Mon–Fri, 5am–1:30pm, with opportunities for space-efficient configurations.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Gray Shelf, Case Shelf and Reserve and Large and Oversize pallet locations utilization.
• Reconfigure gray shelf and case shelf realignment as a result of the executed project.
• Put away product as needed as a result of the executed project.
• Re-home product based on the best utilization of space.
• Recognize and recommend new space configurations.
• Test new process flows for new WM locations.
• TE utilization. Identify and qualify 'TE' products as needed as a result of the executed project.
• Inventory: Identify and change active maxes on items that have too much stock in the OSR.
• Remove iLPNs from the OSR that has over stock in the OSR.
• Re-home iLPNs to other areas to better utilize space.
• Fix iLPNs with issues when removing or rehoming.

The Inventory Optimization Associate helps optimize and manage space for current inventory. This role will maintain inventory space with responsibilities for buildings, trays, shelves, and reserve utilizations.

This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

• Able to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
• Able to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
• May move/stand on concrete throughout 8-10-hour shift
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height

Compensation

The starting base pay rate for this position is: $20.00

This position may also be eligible for shift, skill, and/or team lead pay differentials that will be in addition to the starting pay rate.
