Job summary

The Inventory, Analyst (Profiler) at Cardinal Health bridges physical warehouse operations and WMS master data. This role focuses on warehouse slotting optimization, space utilization, and picking productivity.

Primary impact: optimizes product placement to minimize picker travel time, reduce congestion, maintain inventory data accuracy, and support continuous improvement on the warehouse floor. Shift hours may fluctuate based on needs.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of warehouse/distribution center experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience with enterprise WMS beyond basic RF scanning.
• Strong spatial reasoning and ability to calculate cubic dimensions and weights.
• Self-starter with ability to work autonomously within structured daily standards.
• Detail-oriented with data accuracy and validation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure service levels and inventory targets for timely customer orders.
• Collaborate with internal customers and suppliers to meet business objectives.
• Identify process improvements to enhance service and speed.
• Plan and execute slotting changes to optimize pick density.
• Investigate system alerts (location type mismatches, blowouts).
• Review SKU arrivals and pre-assign storage locations.
• Monitor slot utilization and adjust min/max levels as needed.
• Coordinate with floor supervisors and picking teams for layout changes.
• Adhere to site safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Support special projects and overtime as needed.
