Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an Inventory Associate in Suffolk, VA to manage front-end and pharmacy inventory, including receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and planogram validation.

The role supports asset protection, reviews reports, and ensures accurate on-hand balances and pricing. You will engage customers, maintain stockroom organization, and uphold store system procedures while working a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• “Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Executes and coaches team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
• Scans in all deliveries while the vendor is still in the store, including common carrier deliveries; manages One Box receiving and resolves undelivered orders.
• Verifies all pharmacy shipments are posted for products physically received and reports shortages or damaged product.
• Completes On-Shelf Availability end-to-end process including planogrammed departments and vendor returns.
• Supports pharmacy recalls, vendor returns, and damaged salvage; ensures accurate posting of pharmacy/ prescription claims.
• Coaches store team on package delivery activities and inventory system usage; supports Pickup Program.
