Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a detail-oriented store operations associate in Illinois. You will manage inventory for front end and pharmacy, assist with vendor orders, and ensure accurate pricing and shelf availability.

The role involves receiving deliveries, posting pharmacy orders, and supporting daily cash handling when on duty. Responsibilities include coaching teammates on inventory processes, executing price changes, and resolving issues to deliver a reliable shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior Walgreens experience (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• “Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Executes and coaches team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
• Scans in all deliveries while the vendor is in the store and completes One Box receiving.
• Under the pharmacist-in-charge, verifies pharmacy shipments and postings for orders.
• Completes On-Shelf Availability end-to-end for planogrammed departments including returns and vendor DSD processes.
• Maintains pricing activities including changes, markdowns, and signage accuracy.
• Supports front end and pharmacy ordering by monitoring orders and maintaining inventory levels.
• Leads at the point of sale as designated, handling sales records, price verifications, returns, and cash handling when on duty.
