Job summary

Flexsteel Industries is seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to maintain inventory accuracy, improve warehouse operations, and lead a hands‑on team in a fast‑paced distribution environment. You will supervise inventory, parts, shipping office, and yard activities while driving safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of related experience, a strong grasp of inventory control, and proven leadership and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related work experience
• Experience supervising employees in a warehouse, distribution, inventory, or related environment
• Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and process improvement
• Proven ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities, and maintain productivity
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
• Commitment to workplace safety, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations across inventory, parts, shipping office, and yard activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper reporting of products and parts.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Schedule, assign, and oversee employees to meet daily productivity and quality goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
• Investigate inventory and operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems.
• Coordinate shipping office and yard operations, including carrier communication, shipping documentation, and trailer/container movement.
• Ensure team members follow established safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
• Foster teamwork and effective communication across departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
