Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking an Inventory Clerk to receive, store and distribute medical supplies in a hospital setting. The role requires accurate recording in the inventory system and timely delivery to departments on the unit floors.

The position supports a high-volume supply chain, with two shifts (8am–4pm, 4pm–12am) and a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a busy health system environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior related experience preferred.
• Driver's License preferred.
• Ability to understand simple mathematics and inventory flow.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receives products, equipment and supplies and records quantities in the inventory system.
• Fills requisitions and issues supplies; delivers to floors as required.
• Unpacks and stores supplies on shelves or floor per instructions.
• Transports items over 50 lbs and operates lifting equipment including forklifts.
• Delivers exchange carts to med/surgical units as needed.
• Compiles weekly and monthly inventories of issued supplies.
• Maintains clean, orderly Material Management area and adheres to policies.
• Accesses medication delivery areas as authorized when required.
• Performs related duties as essential functions under ADA.
