Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Materials Support at its JLG facilities to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure smooth movement of materials. You will label, stock, transport, and record materials, verify packing slips, prepare shipments, and support production and inventory control activities.

Safe forklift operation and effective cross-team communication are essential. The role requires use of the inventory system, readiness for overtime, and on-site attendance.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to complete forklift training and obtain a forklift license.
• Ability to acquire and understand lean manufacturing concepts.
• Willingness to work overtime including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet production demands.
• Maintain regular on-site attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy by identifying, labeling, stocking, recording materials, and processing receipts.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials inside/outside the facility.
• Verify items against packing slips and process receipts/shipments.
• Package materials for safe delivery to internal or external customers.
• Respond to material requests and communicate with internal departments.
• Prepare bills of lading and delivery documents.
• Pull and verify materials for production orders.
• Support cycle counts and track material movements in the system.
• Ensure items match purchase order details.
