Job summary

QUANTA MANUFACTURING NASHVILLE is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory accuracy across the warehouse. The role focuses on cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and root-cause analysis to drive improvements in efficiency and control.

Responsibilities include reporting, troubleshooting work orders, and collaborating with supply chain, finance, and engineering to implement corrective actions and best practices in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years in warehouse setting in inventory management role.
  • Strong experience with Excel, SAP and WMS.
  • Experience relying on analytics to identify issues, propose solutions, and resolve issues quickly.
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team across operations and engineering to meet high-reaching goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Need a deep understanding of operational processes and ability to build structured department.
  • Experience leading operations teams in multiple buildings.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment where continuous innovation is desired.

  • Instructs warehouse personnel on proper inventory procedures and helps enforce inventory control.
  • Assist with evaluating WH processes to ensure best practices and proper control methods.
  • Drive an industry leading cycle count program, with immediate root cause and corrective actions.
  • Create strong partnerships across supply chain, finance, warehousing, and transportation teams.

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for inventory accuracy in all departments.Helps prepare warehouse for physical inventory, reporting on accuracy rates. Identifies and resolves inventory discrepancies and reports results across all businesses. Troubleshoots problems on daily work order picks. Helps enforce proper inventory procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
  • Able to squat to lift boxes weighing up to 65 pounds
  • Able to stand, stoop and bend
  • Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods
  • Able to work in warehouse environment with no central heat or air
  • Able to operate pallet jack and/or forklift
