Las Vegas Valley Water District is seeking an Inventory Management Technician Intern for a temporary role at the Valley View Campus in Las Vegas. The position offers $16.00-$20.00 hourly, up to 25 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8am-2:30pm, with a closing date of September 13, 2026 or when 50 applications are reached.
Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, carry a minimum GPA of 2.0, and have a valid Nevada driver's license.

SALARY: $16.00 - $20.00 hourly (based on education level)
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 25 hours weekly between Monday to Thursday 8am-2:30pm.
FILLING DEADLINE: Sunday, September 13, 2026, or the first 50 applicants; whichever occurs first.
Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be forwarded to the hiring department for further review. Those who possess the strongest skills and experience will be invited by the Hiring Department for an interview.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and a background check.
The Ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate the ability to adapt to new technology; work in a fluctuating environment as new processes and procedures are being developed; have experience working in a warehousing/distribution environment; and will be able to multi-task, function in a fast-paced environment, be detailed oriented, and conscientious.
Operate a computer and other standard business equipment and software; organize, set priorities and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines; interpret, apply and reach sound decisions in accordance with laws, rules, regulations and District procedures; make calculations and tabulations quickly and accurately; audit inventory, purchasing and receiving documents thoroughly and accurately; understand and follow written and oral instructions; prepare clear, concise and accurate records and reports. Under general supervision, performs complex technical inventory control duties and maintains an up-to-date inventory listing in the District's automated inventory management system; audits the accuracy of purchased items received; ensures adequate stock inventories are maintained; coordinates the resolution of shipping and invoicing problems with other departments; and performs related duties as assigned.
