Description:Inventory Management SpecialistServe as the Inventory Management Specialist responsible for managing standard and nonstandard medical supplies to ensure effective support across all MTF organizations and supported units.Conduct extensive fact finding and analysis to determine stock availability, suitability and best price.Review all new items requests and researches each request for availability and cost information to be provided to the Chief, Materiel for consideration for stockage.Serve as primary inventory management specialist for medical supplies using prime vendor, direct vendor purchase, and government purchase card authority and procedures to purchase required drugs and services.Operate the Defense Medical Logistics Support System (DMLSS).Perform a variety of supply budget analysis, assistant, and clerical duties.
