Job summary

Monroe County in Rochester, NY is seeking a Messenger/Stockkeeper (HELP Program) responsible for ordering, receiving, storing and disbursing stock, plus delivering mail and inventory for the Environmental Services department.

You will maintain inventory records, perform data entry, and operate a powered industrial truck. Hoist and carry up to 80 pounds; forklift training is provided during probation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year shipping/receiving experience.
• Experience in stock or warehousing including data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and operate a forklift (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, store and disburse stock for assigned department.
• Pick up and deliver mail, parts and inventory as needed.
• Maintain inventory records and data entry for shipping/receiving.
• Operate a powered industrial truck per OSHA requirements.
