Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Specialist to support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, stocking, and inventory control. The role ensures materials and orders are accurately processed and inventory records are maintained.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of shipping/receiving, inventory control, and warehouse best practices, with ability to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in an ERP environment.
• 2+ years experience in inventory control or related field.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and methods.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and best practices.
• Receive packages, materials, and supplies and verify against slips.
• Prepare orders and ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready to deliver.
• Load and unload deliveries as needed.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust stock as needed.
• Prepare and monitor reports on inventory levels and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Document WI's / SOP's and train team members.
