Job summary

Worksource Oregon is partnering with a Portland Metro employer recruiting an Inventory Specialist for their North Portland warehouse. The role requires a high school diploma, 18+ years old, and 1–3 years in inventory/warehouse settings.

You will manage rental inventory, perform cycle counts, process returns, and ensure accuracy across systems. Responsibilities include organizing storage, reporting damaged items, coordinating repairs, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • 1–3 years inventory, warehouse, logistics, or operations experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software.
  • Strong time management and problem solving.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Solid teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Background and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of rental inventory in the system.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
  • Receive, inspect, and process rental items returning from events.
  • Verify inventory quantities before and after customer orders.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, missing, or lost rental equipment.
  • Coordinate repairs, replacements, and disposal of damaged inventory.
  • Organize warehouse storage areas for maximum efficiency.
  • Assist in staging and preparing inventory for events and deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate purchasing needs to management.
  • Label, tag, and track inventory assets.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory storage areas.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and event operations teams.
  • Follow company safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
