Job summary

Snelling Austin is seeking a Warehouse Operations Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records, process orders, pick, pack, and ship efficiently from our Austin facility. You will monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, and handle returns and damaged goods with attention to detail.

In this role you will work closely with sales, customer service and procurement, use ERP systems, and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse layout and overall performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Management or Inventory Management; 2 years warehouse operations, or 4 years experience.
• Outstanding prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Experience working in an ERP system.
• Desire to learn & improve processes.
• Ability to learn new software systems.
• Professional communication skills.
• Positive attitude in contributing to other areas outside job responsibilities.
• Works effectively with other departments.
• Skill in basic arithmetic.
• Fluent in English.
• Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records through transactions and cycle counts.
• Resolve discrepancies via ERP analysis.
• Pick and transact inventory for manufacturing work orders.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate reorders.
• Receive inventory with documentation and check for damage.
• Manage returns of damaged/non-conforming product to supplier.
• Prepare shipping documents and labels.
• Process customer orders by picking, packing, labeling.
• Verify order accuracy before shipment.
• Communicate with sales, customer service and purchasing for smooth fulfilment.
• Collaborate with carriers and suppliers for shipping logistics.
• Manage warehouse layout and locations for optimal efficiency.
• Monitor warehouse performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Generate reports on warehouse activities and performance metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.
