Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Logistics Inventory Manager in the United States to oversee inventory control, warehouse operations, and the end-to-end supply chain. The role requires optimizing stock levels, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Logistics Inventory Manager Summary

Results-driven Logistics Inventory Manager with experience overseeing inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient product flow. Skilled in inventory management systems, cycle counting, demand planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Proven ability to optimize inventory accuracy, reduce operational costs, and improve service levels while maintaining compliance with company standards.

JOB SUMMARY: The Logistics Inventory Manager monitors all operations including but not limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork, communicate freight status and dispatch drivers for pick up. The supervisor will be the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, system operations and vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies. Assist District Manager with general tasks
  • Cycle counting
  • Excel a MUST
  • Responsible for ensuring safe operations as well as compliance with all OSHA regulations, all applicable laws, and Pilot’s Corporate Policies
  • Effectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and morale
  • Reviews operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategies
  • Communicating freight status and any problems to customers, vendors and other Pilot stations and personnel
  • Freight handling via forklift
  • Load/Off-load build trucks for optimal routing
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies

  • Customer service background preferred
  • Ability to read key elements of financial statements in support of functional role responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have superior organizational and time management skills
  • Must be approachable and motivated
  • Knowledge of systems utilized as it relates to logistics
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Detail oriented and analytical

Pay Range:

$75,000 to $80,000 per year

Monday -Friday

7am to 4:30pm

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
