Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a warehouse Inventory Control Associate in Wilsonville, OR to manage material flow and stock accuracy on the manufacturing floor.

You will perform physical receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, verify goods against orders, maintain records, and support lean activities like 5S and cycle counts.

Experience with Oracle and Excel is a plus; candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team atmosphere with agility to multitask.
• Proficient reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
• Experience with Oracle, Excel and Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• 2+ years of stockroom/logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• This position will primarily focus on activities related to inventory control of material.
• The position will perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in receiving shipping, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Involves unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items.
• Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
• Involved in Inventory Control including FIFO, Cycle Counts. Actively involved in 5S and Lean activities.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
