Job summary

Exela Pharma Sciences, LLC in North Carolina seeks an Inventory Manager to oversee the Microbiology department’s inventory both physically and systemically, ensuring cGMP compliance and accurate master data across SAP Warehouse Management and MODA.

You will own day-to-day ordering, cycle counts, and data governance, partnering with Procurement, Quality, and IT to optimize processes and reporting. 3–5 years in regulated inventory roles is expected, with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of inventory control/warehouse management experience in a regulated environment.
• 3+ years of SAP experience including Warehouse Management and Materials Management modules.
• Laboratory inventory system experience (MODA or similar).
• Strong knowledge of master data management and data governance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day ordering, receiving, and issuing of consumables and supplies for the Microbiology department.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with cycle counts and reconciliations to SAP and MODA records.
• Serve as SME for SAP Warehouse Management and MODA Laboratory Inventory Management System, including interface maintenance.
• Create and govern master data for materials, vendors, storage locations, units of measure, batch/lot, and expiration data.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies, stockouts, and obsolete stock.
• Collaborate with Microbiology, Quality Control, QA, Procurement, and IT to define interfaces and support enhancements.
• Initiate purchase requisitions and coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely material availability.
• Train staff on inventory transactions and SAP/MODA data entry.
• Generate inventory metrics and report findings to management.
• Maintain compliant storage and lab support areas per cGMP and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may handle hazardous materials.
