Job summary

Walgreens in South Elgin, IL is seeking a Store Inventory & Operations Associate to manage inventory for both front-end and pharmacy and support receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and planograms. You will help ensure on-hand accuracy, assist with store openings, and coach teams on delivery and stock workflows.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, maintaining asset protection, executing pricing tasks, and handling POS duties as Leader on Duty.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Executes and coaches team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes.
• Scans deliveries, marks as received, and manages backorder issues with vendors.
• Under pharmacist supervision, verifies pharmacy postings and reports shortages or damaged products.
• Manages On-Shelf Availability end-to-end processes and supports price changes and signage accuracy.
• Supports ordering by inventory control and ensures proper handling of returns and transfers.
• Performs POS duties as Leader on Duty, including cash handling, refunds, and price verifications.
