Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Material Handler Specialist for our Clear Brook, VA location. This role focuses on the efficient movement, handling, and storage of medical-surgical products within our distribution center to ensure accurate inventory and timely order fulfillment.

You will receive shipments, verify quantities, operate material handling equipment, and pick, pack, and ship orders while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse/logistics/material handling experience.
• Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) with certification preferred; training available if none.
• Basic computer skills for inventory systems; RF Webpage and JD Edwards experience helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments of medical-surgical supplies and equipment.
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates against orders and packing lists.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
• Store products in designated locations, optimize space, and ensure accessibility.
• Pick and stage orders according to customer specifications.
• Pack and label outgoing shipments securely to prevent damage.
• Conduct cycle counts and participate in physical inventory processes.
• Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Adhere to safety policies and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and SLAs.
