Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to manage steam turbine inventory topics and lead LGN balance sheet activities across sites including Charlotte. The role emphasizes collaboration with technical and financial partners to support inventory controlling, valuation, and related activities.

You will drive reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing while ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines and preparing for external audits. Knowledge of SAP/ERP is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field required.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, controlling, or FP&A, preferably within energy/manufacturing; 8+ years’ experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, ownership, and accountability in area of responsibility.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and free cash flow concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with deadline management in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems for financial data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Inventory reporting, balance sheet forecasting and budget development for Steam turbine product line.
• Collaborate with operations to maintain standard costs, perform cycle counts, review slow-moving inventory, analyze actual vs standard costs and purchase price variance.
• Monthly account reconciliations including Inventory, Accounts Payable, Aging, Inventory reserve.
• Support month-end closing activities including journal entries, inventory reserves, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting guidelines and support external audits.
• Lead LGN balance sheet management across sites (Charlotte, Fort Payne, Winston-Salem).
• Drive monthly product line and quarterly LGN balance sheet reviews with finance management.
