Old World Industries, a Northbrook, IL-based leader in automotive aftermarket products, seeks a Finance Operations/Inventory Manager to oversee inventory financials and controls. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounting, and Commercial teams to optimize valuation, working capital, and reporting.

The role requires 7+ years in finance with inventory focus, CPA/CMA/MBA preferred, and strong skills in SAP, Excel, Power BI, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in finance or accounting with inventory focus.
• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.
• Strong inventory valuation, standard costing, and variances.
• Experience with internal controls over inventory and cost accounting.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and deliver actionable insights.
• Willingness to travel regionally (≈15%).
• Collaborates across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounting, and Commercial teams.

Responsabilités

• Own inventory financial analysis across raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, and third-party locations.
• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end inventory close activities with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Analyze KPIs like turns, days on hand, aging, shrink, and cycle-count results; translate findings into actions.
• Develop inventory forecasts and working capital plans with cross-functional partners.
• Monitor variances and drive corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Maintain internal controls and procedures for inventory transactions and costing.
• Coordinate annual physical inventories and cycle counts; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare inventory reporting for MBRs, forecasts, and audits; support leadership.
• Support auditors with documentation and analyses; provide control evidence.
• Drive process improvements in SAP and Power BI; pursue automation opportunities.
