Job summary

The City of Pocatello seeks an entry-level Inventory Specialist and Facilities Assistant to support the Water Pollution Control Department. You will manage inventory, assist licensed electricians and instrumentation staff on projects, and help with maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

You will work in a facility environment, operate tools and a vehicle, and respond to on-call emergency situations. Applicants should be able to handle multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training in electrical/electronic theory preferred.
• Idaho driver’s license may be required; maintenance/trades experience valued.
• Inventory tracking and ordering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Electrician and Instrumentation staff on projects at the WPC facility and lift stations.
• Maintain department inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
• Track inventory against usage and reorder to maintain stock levels.
• Inspect incoming orders for quantity and quality; log into tracking system.
• Deliver parts to job sites and assist crews as needed; operate tools and vehicles.
• Perform building, electrical, and mechanical maintenance; maintain records.
