Job summary

Gulf Coast Blood Center seeks an Assistant Manager for Inventory & Distribution Operations to lead daily inventory planning, product distribution, and customer fulfillment. You will supervise Inventory Supervisors, Team Leads, and Distribution staff while coordinating with Hospital Services, Quality, and Logistics to meet service levels and maintain compliance.

The role emphasizes demand forecasting, allocation strategies, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement in inventory utilization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• 5–8 years of progressive laboratory, supply chain, manufacturing, or operational experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or highly regulated healthcare environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing operations and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily inventory and distribution operations to ensure product availability and customer service.
• Review inventory dashboards, production reports, release projections, and metrics to assess status and demand.
• Manage fulfillment of hospital and specialty product requests while balancing constraints.
• Oversee imports/exports, product transfers, and inter-center activities to optimize availability.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, AABB, cGMP, and organizational policies.
