Job Description

  • IDENTIFICATION

Position Title: Inventory & Demand Planner II

Department: Planning FLSA Classification: Exempt

Location(s): South Terminal & Bottling Status: Full-time

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Inventory & Demand Planner II ensures the timely and accurate execution of customer orders by managing order entry, production scheduling, inventory allocation, and raw material procurement. This role maintains a strong understanding of customer requirements and product specifics, leverages ERP expertise to produce and analyze reports, ensures pricing and invoicing accuracy, and supports KPI tracking. The Inventory & Demand Planner II collaborates cross-functionally to align production schedules with capacity, meet customer commitments, and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

Kind & Length of Experience:

  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in high-mix, low-volume or contract manufacturing environments required, with a strong understanding of the complexities of multiple customer accounts and varied product lines.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in a customer-facing role with emphasis on order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, demonstrating advanced proficiency in data entry, reporting, and analysis; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and build strong relationships across Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Accounting.
  • Adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities or business needs.
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines under tight time constraints.
  • PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities of an Inventory & Demand Planner I.
  • Serve as a key user of the ERP system (e.g., Business Central) to support Operations, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Lead SIOP or S&OP processes for assigned areas or value stream.
  • Provide backup coverage for other Planning Department team members as needed.
  • Lead or support tolling customer direction-setting meetings as the primary or backup representative.
  • Lead department huddles to share updates, review daily priorities, and record action items, ensuring alignment of operational needs and timely communication within the team.
  • Lead at least 2 continuous improvement initiatives per year, with demonstrated measurable results.
  • Facilitate at least one "Quick Kaizen" event with demonstrated measurable results per year.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned tolling customers on all daily operational matters, including production schedules, inventory status, deliveries, shipments, and issue resolution, with minimal oversight.
  • Manage order entry and product allocation in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with customer and production priorities.
  • Proactively identify and address potential schedule conflicts, capacity issues, or material shortages in coordination with Sales, Operations, and Procurement.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customer requirements and product specifications, and anticipate needs to ensure on-time, in-full delivery performance.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, verify product pricing, and ensure accurate and timely invoicing in accordance with company standards.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules for more complex or high-volume accounts, aligning plans with operational capacity and sales commitments.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy for assigned accounts, including reconciliation of variances and coordination with warehouse and operations teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations;
  • Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, and procedures, as well as DOT, IATA, and IMDG hazardous materials/dangerous goods regulations.
  • Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance with all Local, State and Federal Regulations;
  • Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care 14001 (RC14001)/Environment, Health, Safety, & Sustainability (EHS&S) management system;
  • Adhere to all DOT, IATA and IMDG hazardous materials or dangerous goods regulations;
  • Other duties as requested.
