Job summary

Made Scientific, a Princeton, New Jersey-based cell therapy CDMO, is seeking an Inventory Cost Accountant to join the Finance team onsite. The role focuses on inventory and cost accounting, month-end close, and ERP-driven costing in a regulated manufacturing context.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on inventory costing knowledge, and experience with NetSuite, BOM, and project costing in a manufacturing or biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to inventory accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, project/job costing, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP-based inventory, costing, item master, work order, or project costing processes.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation workbooks.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold, manufacturing costs, project costs, and related balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for inventory, COGS, project costs, accruals, and other accounts.
• Reconcile inventory subledger activity to the general ledger and investigate variances.
• Review inventory transactions for proper costing, GL coding, and project/customer coding.
• Assist with inventory valuation, reserves, and aging analysis.
• Support project-related inventory accounting and cost tracking.
