Job summary

VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our Operations team in Los Angeles. This role focuses on ensuring clinicians have the supplies, medications, and equipment needed to deliver exceptional patient care while thriving in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Four 10-hour shifts per week, on-site schedule, and responsibilities spanning inventory management, purchasing, and daily hospital operations. Strong organizational skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Order pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and hospital inventory.
• Receive, inspect, verify, and stock incoming shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple departments.
• Rotate inventory and monitor expiration dates.
• Ensure products are stored according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Investigate backorders and identify alternative products.
• Coordinate with vendors and support purchasing activities.
• Perform inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Track inventory trends and maintain organized storage areas.
