Aerotek is seeking an Inventory Coordinator for a contract role based in Wilmington, DE. The position focuses on maintaining accurate inventory levels, cycle counts, and proper product coding within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will coordinate with internal teams and customers, handle OS&D reporting, and process adjustments while ensuring compliance with internal controls and safety policies. This onsite role requires strong data entry and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory control within a warehouse or distribution environment.

  • Experience with shipping/receiving processes and reconciling documents.

  • Help manage holding of inventory, releases, and application of product codes.
  • Review orders and receiving docs for accuracy and filing.
  • Investigate discrepancies using records and counts to identify root causes.
  • Submit daily receiving logs and inventory control paperwork timely.
  • Monitor and reconcile receiving discrepancies or damaged shipments.
  • Maintain sanitation and housekeeping in warehouses to support safety.
  • Meet team quality and production goals, maintaining accuracy and procedure compliance.
  • Assist in developing new inventory procedures and process improvements.
  • Ensure all inventory tasks are completed by end of shift.
  • Complete miscellaneous projects related to inventory control and reporting.
  • Adhere to safety policies and promote safe warehouse practices.
  • Perform additional duties to support warehouse operations.

Job Description

The Inventory Coordinator supports warehouse operations by leading and owning the processes that maintain accurate inventory counts and product codes. This role ensures compliance with internal control procedures, optimizes storage and utilization of inventory, and provides clear, timely communication with internal teams and customers regarding product status and inventory levels.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain coordination of cycle counts and verify customer-supplied products to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Handle all OS&D (overages, shortages, and damages) reporting and communicate findings clearly and promptly to customers.
  • Accurately file reports detailing items in a shipment that were over-shipped, under-shipped, or damaged upon receipt.
  • Process necessary inventory adjustments in accordance with internal control procedures.
  • Manage inventory by counting products and comparing physical counts to inventory logs and related documents.
  • Assist with customer inventory audits by preparing documentation and supporting on-site or remote audit activities.
  • Communicate with customers daily about inventory levels, product status, and any discrepancies.
  • Assist in managing the holding of inventory, including releases and the application of appropriate product codes.
  • Review orders and receiving documents for accuracy and ensure all documentation is complete and properly filed.
  • Research inventory discrepancies by investigating records, documents, and physical counts to identify root causes.
  • Monitor and submit the daily receiving log and all daily inventory control paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor, report, and reconcile any receiving discrepancies or damaged shipments to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Monitor sanitation and housekeeping in work areas to support a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Meet team quality and production goals by maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all inventory-related tasks.
  • Assist the supervisor in developing and implementing new procedures to improve inventory control and warehouse processes.
  • Ensure all team tasks related to inventory control and documentation are completed by the end of each shift.
  • Complete miscellaneous projects related to inventory control, reporting, or process improvement as needed.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and promote safe work practices within the warehouse.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and inventory operations.
Essential Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with inventory control and inventory management in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in performing and coordinating cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including reviewing and reconciling receiving documents and orders.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy for maintaining inventory logs and documentation.
  • Ability to manage warehouse inventory, including counting products, verifying records, and processing adjustments.
  • Experience handling OS&D (overages, shortages, and damages) reporting and related customer communications.
  • Strong computer skills for working with inventory management systems, logs, and reports.
  • Ability to research and resolve inventory and receiving discrepancies using documentation and physical counts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to meet team quality and production goals while maintaining accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Commitment to following safety policies and procedures in a warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience supporting customer inventory audits, including preparation of documentation and records.
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, DE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
