Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking an Inventory Controller to maintain accurate inventory across the facility. You will implement inventory-control procedures, conduct cycle counts, and work with Operations and Finance to improve processes.

SAP transactions and monthly reconciliations are core duties. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of inventory-management experience, strong attention to detail, and a Lean mindset.

Inventory Controller

The Inventory Controller is accountable for maintaining accurate inventory throughout the facility. This role reports to Finance and works closely with Operations to establish, manage, and continually improve inventory-control processes and procedures. Using standard material-control practices—including cycle counting, annual physical inventories, and pre-production parts audits—the Inventory Controller will ensure the ongoing accuracy, reliability, and integrity of inventory records and control systems.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary: $80,000–$85,000 + Bonus.

Job Description:

Inventory Accuracy and Control

• Implement and maintain facility-wide inventory-control procedures, including cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and inventory recordkeeping.
• Coordinate and perform scheduled monthly on-site inventory counts.
• Coordinate and perform scheduled biannual off-site inventory counts.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inventory audits to validate count integrity.
• Perform root-cause analysis for cycle-count discrepancies and lead corrective actions that improve process performance.
• Review and improve inventory-management processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, minimize holding costs, and strengthen inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, safe, and secure inventory-storage environment, following all safety protocols and security measures to prevent inventory theft or damage.

SAP and Reconciliation Activities

• Complete all SAP transactions associated with receipts of bare and painted coil, as well as all coil movement transactions.
• Complete monthly off-site coil reconciliation files, including all related SAP transactions.
• Complete SAP COGI transactions related to on-site inventory.
• Perform monthly vendor steel-scrap analysis.

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate regular inventory reports and analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present inventory reports to senior management, including recommendations for inventory optimization and cost reduction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Compliance

• Partner with Operations personnel to maintain a clear, shared understanding of the importance of inventory accuracy.
• Work with the Quality Department to ensure damaged materials and products are accurately recorded, removed from inventory, and supported by appropriate quality records.
• Ensure inventory-control activities comply with all applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Qualifications Seeking:

• Minimum of three years of inventory-management experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with responsibility for inventory control.
• Thorough knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
• Continuous-improvement experience with a Lean Manufacturing focus.
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy and precision.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Computer Skills Seeking:

• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
