Job summary

Tellworks Logistics in Sparks, NV seeks an Inventory Control Area Supervisor to lead inventory control activities in a high-volume distribution center. You will oversee cycle counts, variance research, and adjustments, partnering with Operations and customer teams to improve accuracy and reporting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates hands-on leadership, strong WMS knowledge, data-driven problem solving, and the ability to develop into broader inventory control management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of inventory control, warehouse operations, or related experience.
• Prior leadership experience required; formal supervisory experience preferred.
• Inventory control experience in a distribution center, high-volume warehouse, or 3PL environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct associates performing inventory control functions, including cycle counts and variance research.
• Support daily execution of inventory control policies and performance expectations.
• Lead regular efforts to verify inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and audits.
• Research inventory variances, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor inventory control metrics and ensure performance meets internal and customer expectations.
• Use WMS data to identify inventory risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Operations to understand inventory impacts related to receiving, put-away, picking, packing, returns, replenishment, and moves.
• Prepare and justify inventory adjustments with documentation and root-cause analysis.
