Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking an Assistant Inventory Control Manager in Fort Worth, TX to support the Inventory Control Manager in maintaining accurate stock, managing staff, and ensuring FDA/USDA compliance.

The role covers audits, loss prevention, and collaboration with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Operations. Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years in inventory control, leadership experience, and strong Excel/RF scanner skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of inventory control experience.
• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Food service or distribution experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA and USDA guidelines preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with warehouse RF systems/scanners preferred.
• Strong data entry and 10-key skills.
• Ability to learn and use company-specific systems and applications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory control and returns processes to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between system and physical counts.
• Schedule and monitor cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Monitor dead, damaged, and returned inventory and coordinate vendor returns.
• Assist with recalls, product quality concerns, and food safety issues.
• Supervise and support Inventory Control and Returns Associates.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and employee development.
• Assist the Inventory Control Manager with departmental planning and process improvements.
