Job summary

Clayton is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor in Crossville, TN to oversee inventory movement and accuracy across warehouse, production, and yard operations. You will collaborate with the Material Planner to ensure right product, location, quantity, and timing for all material types.

Responsibilities include cycle counting, root-cause analysis of variances, FIFO adherence, and daily reconciliation of sub-inventories. Strong communication and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply-Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 0-2 years’ experience in inventory control, supply-chain-planning, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, or in person.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a proper cycle-count procedure to maintain accurate material planning signals.
• Root-cause inventory variances and document corrective action to resolution.
• Develop optimal pick-path for raw materials to production or finished goods to outbound staging.
• Ensure all inventory is cycled on a FIFO basis.
• Verify receipt accuracy and Ti-Hi compliance.
• Manage/dispose damaged, slow-moving & obsolete materials stored in the quarantine area.
• Manage inbound/outbound staging and completion locations ensuring sub inventories reconcile daily.
• Oversee yard inventory and FIFO rotation rules.
• Monitor storage capacity against inbound supply requirements and adjust when necessary.
• Maintain labeling of inventory for accurate identification and retrieval.
• Collaborate with Material Planner, Production Management and Allocator.
