Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics in Justin, TX is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to optimize stock levels, coordinate audits, and streamline warehouse processes across our distribution operations.

You will lead weekly and spot audits, communicate schedules to Supervisors, supervise staff, maintain accurate Excel records, and drive continuous improvements in inventory quality and operational efficiency. Strong communication, team leadership, and WMS experience are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates inventory needs and implements strategies to meet those needs
  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules
  • Communicates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily to assign necessary resources
  • Provides daily written and electronic analysis of inventory and audit results
  • Spot audit activities: unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping; records results in Excel
  • Interacts with supervisors to identify trends, processes, or people requiring corrective action
  • Reads and responds to emails promptly
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

  • Evaluates inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs
  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily so that supervisors can assign necessary product, equipment, and human resources needed to complete schedule.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audit unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Read and respond to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand

Education & Experience

  • Previous contracts logistics experience in inventory control preferred
  • Previous supervisory and WMS experience strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3 or more years of related work experience.
  • 2 years supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • 3 or more years of industry related experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
