Scope of Responsibility

Join Cascade Engineering as our Inventory Control Supervisor. Lead the charge on all things inventory-mentor your team, track key metrics, and keep counts spot-on for materials and goods. Own the KPIs, drive improvements, and make inventory excellence your mission!

Location : West Plant(5055 36th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512)

Shift : Day Shift

Target Pay : The target starting base salary for this position is $50,346.00 - $80,948.00 (plus quarterly bonus incentive). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Cascade Engineering considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leads root cause identification and solution approach for all inventory related CPR (corrective actions)
  • Provide direct leadership to group of Inventory Control Coordinators (i.e. Cycle Counters) on campus
  • Manage inventory classification (ABCD) / Cycle count procedure
  • Audits cycle count activities to ensure metrics are met to drive improved inventory accuracy.
  • Support and lead inventory related Audit activities
  • Manages data collection and reporting for all cycle count and CPR activity related to inventory accuracy
  • Works with operations to organize inventory locations and maintain product identification
  • Oversee BOM Audit completion, addressing any audit discrepancies with BOM Analyst
  • Audits supplier receiving transactions, verifying paperwork to perpetual & notifying appropriate personnel of errors
  • Participates in Mission Center meetings
  • Help establish procedures related to inventory in all functional areas, with the specific intent of driving efficiency and improved accuracy
  • Ensures Inventory related documentation is complete, accurate, and filed correctly
  • Maintain system inventory data (Item / Site inventory data in ERP System)
  • Develop and lead training initiatives for inventory best practices, including operations personnel
  • Guide and participate in obsolescence process improvements to reduce financial exposure / risk
  • Promote elimination of negative inventory conditions, striving for location-based inventory accuracy excellence
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in supply chain or related field OR HS Diploma / GED + 3-5 yrs experience in Supply Chain / Materials
  • Broad understanding of all SCM principles, including Shipping / Receiving
  • Detail and data Oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of production process flow and scheduling
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision
  • Must be able and willing to obtain a Forklift License
  • Valid Driver's license or be able to use all 4 limbs such as arms, legs (upper and lower limbs), torso / trunk at the shoulder. Have coordination of eyes, hands and feet. Not have any known / documented convulsive disorders and corrected vision (obtain doctor's note verifying proof of the corrected vision)
  • Ability to research inventory discrepancies using ERP systems and other inventory systems
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and address gaps in inventory processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Problem solving skills, Root cause identification and sustained corrective actions
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365

Preferred

  • QAD experience
  • 1 - 3 years of direct leadership experience
