Job summary

Johnson Brothers Liquor Company is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Indianapolis. The role focuses on daily inventory cycle counts, research, and maintaining accuracy between DISC and WMS systems.

You will coordinate with the credit department, process MRMs, and ensure proper credits and correct stock levels. The position requires 5+ years of related experience, AS400 experience, and strong skills in Excel, problem solving, and working under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years related experience.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet applications.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems and bar code scanning (Korber/HighJump).
• Math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and related research activities.
• Communicate with the credit department and others to resolve variances between DISC and WMS.
• Process and escalate MRM cycle count issues to ensure proper customer credits and correct inventory.
• Report any inventory-affecting situations to upper management.
• Maintain WMS functions as directed (Korber/HighJump).
• Manage item locations, slotting, and counts across locations.
• Prepare balance reports and hold items as needed.
• Document adjustments with explanations and monitor the Major Adjustment Report.
• Lead inventory-related projects and report progress to management.
