Job summary

Waterworks in Brookfield, CT, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join the Inventory Control team in our Brookfield Distribution Center. The role is onsite five days a week, focusing on moving and organizing inventory, cycle counts, and ensuring accurate system transactions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in inventory or warehouse roles, a high school diploma, forklift certification, and solid Excel/ERP/RF skills. We offer competitive pay, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education or relevant experience is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, material handling, distribution, manufacturing, or a related environment.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience with RF scanners, Microsoft Excel, or other inventory systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Physically move, organize, and relocate inventory using forklifts and other equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations and designate proper storage.
• Execute inventory transfers, adjustments, and other transactions in company systems.
• Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits; investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory records and ensure system reflects physical inventory.
• Identify and address discrepancies and investigate root causes.
• Partner with DC and Inventory teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with consolidations, inter-location transfers, and inventory movements.
• Assist with annual inventories and other counting activities.
• Ensure inventory is labeled, organized, and accessible.
• Document movements, counts, adjustments, and discrepancies.
• Use ERP, RF scanning, and other systems to manage data.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
• Assist with process improvements as needed.
