Job summary

Lutron Electronics Company, Inc in Lincoln, Rhode Island seeks a Materials and Inventory Controls Specialist to join our manufacturing team at Tanury. You will maintain inventory accuracy in a high-scrap environment, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to protect production and inventory integrity.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, material receiving, storage, scrap handling, and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inventory control, materials, or warehouse experience.
• Experience improving inventory accuracy through cycle counting and controls.
• Experience using ERP/MRP or inventory-management systems.
• Ability to read English production schedules, BOMs and material requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory transactions through receiving, issuing, return, storage, and scrap processes.
• Receive raw material, inventory and store it in warehouse.
• Ensure scrap is identified, segregated, recorded, and removed from inventory.
• Conduct frequent cycle counts and investigate variances; reconcile physical inventory.
• Provide inventory reports to management.
• Identify recurring sources of inventory error and recommend corrective actions.
• Pick, stage, and dispatch material to production.
• Maintain warehouse organization, labeling, and location control.
• Communicate shortages, discrepancies, and production risks clearly.
• Partner with plant quality to manage incoming material inspections.
