Job summary

RJW Logistics Group is hiring an Audit & Claims Clerk to process, research, and reconcile inventory discrepancies or claims. This role includes tracking inventory such as Finished Goods, CHEP Pallets, PECO Pallets and other materials as needed.

Essential duties include physical counts, daily reconciliation, and accurate data entry to maintain inventory integrity. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and WMS software, plus forklift experience, are required.

Qualifications

Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.
Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.

Responsibilities

Performs physical counts of inventory including Finished Goods, Pallets, and Materials in order to maintain accurate inventory.
Counts, reconciles, and reports inventory on a daily basis.
Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
Reconciles customer claims against Inventory Adjustments and researches as appropriate
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Monday through Friday-8:00am - 4:30pm Sunday through Wednesday- 5:00am - 3:30pm Wednesday through Saturday- 5:00am - 3:30pm Sunday through Wednesday- 2:30pm - 1:00am Wednesday through Saturday- 2:30pm - 1:00am

Compensation

Compensation:$23-$24/hr

Attendance Incentive - Up to $2400 bonus for good attendance. (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
Referral Bonus - Up to $500 per referral (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
Hiring Bonus - Up to $1000 (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
Step increase program- Pay will increase by $.50 after 90 days and again after 180 days (Material Handlers Only)
Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers will receive an additional $0.50 p.hr
Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers will receive an additional $1.00 p.hr

Additional Responsibilities

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.
Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
Utilize computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.

Qualifications

Forklift certification a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite for writing emails, reconciling data in spreadsheets, and interpreting and/or creating reports.

Physical Demands

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
