Job summary

CDW is seeking an Inventory Specialist II to oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate tracking and organized records within the facility.

This hands-on role covers receiving, put-away, cycle counts, transfers between facilities, and coordination with procurement and warehouse staff to ensure timely picking and shipping. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
• Proven experience in inventory management or a related role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., Foxfire or similar software).
• Ability to analyze and solve inventory discrepancies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions based on data and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage incoming parts, ensuring they are promptly checked, labeled, and staged for use.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Direct the efficient and accurate storage of incoming inventory in designated locations.
• Ensure proper organization to facilitate quick and accurate retrieval.
• Oversee the generation, accuracy, and fulfillment of pick tickets for production or shipping.
• Schedule and execute regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Investigate and resolve variances between physical counts and system records.
• Coordinate with production teams to anticipate and fulfill part needs.
• Oversee the transfer of inventory between facilities, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to guarantee safe and timely transfers.
• Shipments: unload incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage, report issues to supervisor.
• Verify accuracy of shipment contents against packing lists or POs.
• Complete paperwork for receiving shipments and update records.
• Assist with organizing and storing received items in appropriate locations.
