Job summary

SCN BestCo is seeking an Inventory Clerk to count bin locations, perform cycle counts in SAP, and investigate variances. You will handle sample requests, non-conformance items, and assist with external audits while supporting ordering, receipt, and distribution of supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ related experience.
• Demonstrated trouble shooting ability, excellent attendance and safety record, strong work ethic.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of personal integrity and strong sense of urgency coupled with the ability to prioritize requirements and activities.
• Results driven, proactive, production, and quality oriented.
• Working knowledge of barcode scanners and computers, and impact of inventory transactions on balance-on-hand accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, utilize time efficiently, and multi-task in an ever changing, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented, ever-changing manufacturing environment.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and count bin locations in racks and verify transactions within SAP.
• Perform cycle counts and correct variances in SAP.
• Investigate adjustments/variances and identify process improvements.
• Fill sample requests and manage hold/non-conformance items per SOP.
• Support external inventory audits and implement Scrap Ticket program.
• Process ordering, storing, receipt and distribution of SCN BestCo’s supplies.
• Update cycle counts and submit count documents; assist with RTS checks.
• Travel between Mazeppa and surrounding DCs as needed (<10 miles).
