Job summary

Alta Equipment Group’s Construction Equipment Group is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist for the Byron Center, MI branch. This role handles both administrative and physical management of inventories, supporting procurement and accounting teams with accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years’ experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel. Forklift certification is preferred and training can be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of work experience with reliability and a desire to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient with the inventory management process.
• Receive material into inventory and restock as needed.
• Provide reports to purchasing on low inventory items to reorder.
• Organize and pull from stock.
• Maintain inventory levels and accuracy.
• Manage deliveries to building, front door, and rear docks; oversee outgoing shipments.
