Alta Equipment Group is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Byron Center, MI. This union role focuses on administrative and physical inventory management for all incoming and outgoing project materials.

You will maintain accuracy, organize stock, and provide actionable reports to procurement. Requirements include a high school diploma and 2–4 years’ experience, plus strong communication and computer skills in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or technical certs preferred.
• Two to four years of work experience with demonstrated reliability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound planning, organizing and execution skills.
• Computer savvy; comfortable with MS Word and Excel; learn other programs.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient with the inventory management process.
• Receive all material into inventory and restock.
• Provide reports to purchasing on low inventory items to re-order.
• Organize and pull from stock.
• Maintain inventory levels.
• Manage deliveries to building, front door and rear docks.
• Manage outgoing shipments with project equipment and materials.
