Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for the Auburn DC in Auburn, WA. You will learn inventory and warehouse operations and collaborate with procurement on inventory issues. The role involves quarterly cycle counts, daily counts, code date verification and working with procurement and warehouse teams.

Shift is 3pm to 11:30pm in a cold environment. Qualifications include a High School Diploma and strong data entry, communication, and organizational skills; no experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Strong data entry and numerical accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with procurement and operations teams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Experience with basic office equipment and databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform count tasks and SOX cycle counts.
• Prepare physical inventory recaps for management review.
• Review and follow inventory control procedures.
• Identify and resolve internal shrink problems.
• Coordinate changes to inventory for damage, spoilage, vendor returns, department changes, pack changes, and continuity returns with Accounting.
• Review inventory adjustments daily.
• Work with Procurement to resolve at-risk inventory and short-coded product.
• Monitor store returns and salvage programs.
• Maintain record retention in line with corporate guidelines.
• Conduct quarterly audits of parts and supply inventories.
• Perform related duties as assigned by Manager.
