Job summary

Jay Group seeks an Inventory Specialist at Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, PA to manage inventory accuracy and optimize stock levels. You will perform cycle counts, oversee transactions, and ensure proper storage while driving improvements in data accuracy.

Responsibilities include audits, reporting, and collaboration with the IC team, with occasional after-hours counts during peak seasons; forklift operation is required. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a higher-level inventory control position.
• Forklift or warehouse equipment certification is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
• Strong typing skills with a focus on data accuracy while entering data.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory transactions such as receipts, adjustments, and movements.
• Coordinate and maintain proper storage of inventory to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, stock discrepancies, and potential issues.
• Generate and review inventory reports and provide insights on inventory performance.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Develop and implement processes for better inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete daily cycle count tasks generated by the system in our clean warehouse.
• Complete special count requests as needed.
• Reconcile discrepancies and adjust SKUs as needed after counts.
• Verify lots/expiration information and pull products from active picking locations as needed.
• Report large/unusual discrepancies to the IC team with documentation via email.
• Participate in physical inventories, including after-hours and weekends.
