Job summary

Pratt Industries in Florida seeks an Inventory Control Clerk to manage plant-level inventory, perform cycle counts, and ensure data accuracy in inventory systems. You will act as a liaison between production staff and management to keep operations running smoothly and discrepancies resolved promptly.

Responsibilities include daily counts, reconciling counts to book inventory, analyzing backlogs to prevent shortages, and collaborating with production and Customer Service to improve visibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years inventory or data-entry experience in a manufacturing environment (corrugated packaging industry experience is a major plus).

Responsibilities

• Cycle Counts & Audits: daily and weekly cycle counts against booked inventory; execute random audit lists and physical stock checks.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: record physical counts, post reconciliations, track On Hold or damaged inventory.
• Backlog & Shortage Analysis: review order backlogs to identify and mitigate stock shortages before production impact.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: partner with production teams and Customer Service to streamline order fulfillment and inventory visibility.
• Safety & Operations: maintain a safe, clean work environment and escalate issues to the Operations/Production Manager.
