Job summary

UNFI is seeking an Inventory Control team member in Green Bay to track inventory, research discrepancies, and ensure accurate product locations within the distribution center. The role involves monitoring damages, guiding salvage processes, and coordinating with multiple departments to optimize inventory integrity.

The position requires operating powered equipment, strong safety discipline, and the ability to lift 40–60 pounds daily in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed to operate powered industrial equipment.
• Strong safety guideline understanding.
• Knowledge of Bakco functions and RF systems.
• Understanding of inventory tracking paperwork and reporting.
• Ability to understand warehouse processes for global context.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lift 40–60 pounds daily and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Track and ensure SOX compliance for third-party audit and company standards.
• Schedule physical inventories and cycle counts; coordinate date checks.
• Prepare inventory recaps for management distribution.
• Develop and refine inventory control procedures as needed.
• Identify and resolve internal shrink problems.
• Analyze daily inventory reports to identify trends.
• Monitor quarterly parts and supply inventories for accuracy.
• Maintain records retention per corporate guidelines and policies.
• Perform basic slotting and salvage-related tasks as required.
• Coordinate and load salvage pickups with salvage dealer.
