Job summary

UNFI is seeking an Inventory Control team member in Green Bay to track and manage inventory across the distribution center, ensuring accurate product placement and safety.

You will conduct physical inventories, investigate discrepancies, and work with QC, operations, and procurement to resolve issues. Lifting 40–60 lbs, exposure to cold environments, and collaborative problem solving are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Licensed to operate powered industrial equipment and familiar with safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
• Proficient in documenting, reporting, and following procedures in inventory control.
• Able to lift 40–60 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Detail-oriented with ability to track and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Track and maintain SOX compliance relative to 3rd party audit & company standards.
• Schedule and coordinate all physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Prepare inventory recaps for management distribution.
• Review and develop inventory control procedures as appropriate.
• Identify and resolve internal shrink problems.
• Monitor daily reports for inventory control and analyze data.
• Maintain records retention per corporate guidelines and policies.
• Perform basic slotting and salvage-related tasks.
• Coordinate and load salvage pickups with vendors.
