Job summary

Manufacturing Inventory & Hardware Kit Assembly

Openwork is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist for a manufacturing facility in Denton, TX. This position involves receiving and tracking materials, assembling hardware kits, maintaining inventory records, and supporting daily production needs.

Qualified candidates must have at least 1 year of manufacturing, inventory, or warehouse experience.

Position at a Glance:

Location: Denton, TX

Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience | Weekly Pay

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Shift: 1st Shift

Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Overtime: Required as needed, including 12-hour shifts and weekends when necessary

What You'll Be Doing:

• Receive, count, label, and organize incoming materials.
• Track lumber, wooden flanges, rods, bolts, screws, nuts, and other reel hardware.
• Assemble hardware kits for production and customer shipments.
• Verify parts and quantities against specification sheets.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Compare inventory counts with computer records.
• Report missing, damaged, or incorrectly counted materials.
• Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Replenish production areas and prepare completed kits for shipment
• Coordinate with receiving, production, warehouse, and shipping teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, inventory, or warehouse experience — REQUIRED.
• Experience counting, organizing, and tracking materials.
• Basic computer and inventory data-entry skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and specification sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
• Availability for required overtime, including 12-hour shifts and weekends.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
