Job summary

Putzmeister America is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Sturtevant, WI. The role focuses on monitoring warehouse inventory, cycle counting, and maintaining accuracy to reflect actual stock levels.

The ICS will assist across departments, verify data, and support materials management while adhering to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Cycle count materials based on the ABC grouping system and other times as issues arise.
• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
• Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions.
• Respond to CS, Warehouse, Production, and Engineering inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist Warehouse Pullers to locate materials.
• Update dimensions and weights for all materials in the database.
• Operate order picker, sit-down lifts, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Perform SAP transactions relative to the Warehouse inventory system.
• Look up part numbers and locations in the SAP database.
• Data entry of work orders, parts, and quantities.
• Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and organized.
• Maintain Putzmeister America's high standards of quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Summary:The Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting to ensure that all materials are properly verified and that the reported inventory reflects the actual inventory. TheICS will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports, and transfers. TheICS will also assist the Warehouse, Production, Engineering, and Customer Service in locating materials. TheICS maintains a dual-reporting structure. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager for administrative and financial compliance and operates under the daily guidance and supervision of the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cycle count materials based on the “ABC” grouping system, which will be monitored by the Warehouse Manager, and also cycle count materials as issues arise.
• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
• Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
• Responsible for answering CS, Warehouse, Production, and Engineering inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist all Warehouse Pullers to locate materials.
• Assist in updating dimensions and weights for all materials in the database.
• Be able to operate order picker, sit-down lifts, and other warehouse equipment carefully and safely.
• Must be able to accurately perform SAP transactions relative to the Warehouse inventory system.
• Must be capable of looking up part numbers and locations in the SAP database.
• Data entry of work orders, parts, and quantities
• Always follow all safety rules and regulations
• Always maintain a clean and organized work area
