Job summary

ACEMCO Incorporated is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain and improve inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, tooling, and spare parts in a manufacturing environment. You will document transactions, investigate discrepancies, and support cycle counts and reconciliation efforts.

The role emphasizes standardized processes, traceability, and collaboration with Production, Materials, Tooling, and Quality to ensure timely production support and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with inventory control systems, ERP systems, or PowerShop preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, inventory control, or materials management experience preferred.
• Experience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer, spreadsheet, and reporting skills.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift/Hi-Lo or willingness to complete required training.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, tooling, maintenance spare parts, and crib inventory.
• Ensure all inventory transactions are properly completed and documented in PowerShop.
• Audit inventory records and investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Manage tool crib inventory and maintenance spare parts inventory to ensure availability and accuracy.
• Utilize PowerShop and other reporting tools to verify inventory accuracy, documentation, and traceability.
• Work with Production, Materials, Tooling, Maintenance, Quality, and Shipping to identify and resolve inventory-related concerns.
• Develop, document, and support standardized inventory control processes and best practices.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or discrepancies, and communicate issues to the appropriate departments.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, labels, statuses, and inventory locations to ensure system and physical inventories are aligned.
• Support material movement, receiving, and inventory transactions as needed.
• Maintain organized inventory locations and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and material flow.
• Prepare reports and provide analysis related to inventory performance, discrepancies, and process improvements.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Purpose of the job

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving inventory accuracy across the manufacturing operation, including raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, tooling, maintenance spare parts, and crib inventory. This position ensures inventory transactions are properly completed and documented within PowerShop, investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies, supports cycle count and reconciliation activities, and helps establish standardized inventory control processes across departments. The role will serve as a key resource in improving traceability, accountability, and overall inventory performance while supporting daily production requirements.
